In a shocking incident on Saturday night, six people were wounded, including a 5-year-old girl, in a mass shooting that occurred in a Baltimore neighborhood. According to police reports, the gunfire erupted shortly before 8:50 p.m. as people gathered outside near the intersection of Spaulding and Queensberry Avenues to enjoy a meal.
During a late-night news conference, Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley provided details about the shooting. He stated that the victims were outside, likely sharing a meal of crabs, when an unidentified assailant opened fire. "It looks like somebody just opened fire," Worley commented, emphasizing the chaotic nature of the scene.
The injured included a 38-year-old man who is currently in critical condition. In addition to the young girl, the other victims comprise a 23-year-old woman and three men aged 32, 33, and 52. Thankfully, reports indicate that the injury sustained by the 5-year-old girl, who was struck in the hand, does not appear to be serious.
As of now, police have not released any information regarding the suspect in this tragic shooting. "We have little information at this point. All we know is that multiple rounds were fired, resulting in multiple victims," Worley stated. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are actively working to gather more details about the incident.
This is a developing story, and updates are expected as more information becomes available. The Baltimore community is urged to stay informed as the police continue their investigation into this alarming incident.
