Ford is set to make its vehicles more accessible with the launch of its new campaign, “From America, For America,” which debuted on Thursday. This initiative brings significant discounts to consumers, including employee pricing for all and a complimentary home charger for electric vehicle (EV) buyers. This move aims to promote Ford’s commitment to producing American-made vehicles while making them more affordable for customers.
The “From America, For America” campaign offers enticing discounts on a wide range of Ford vehicles. Customers can take advantage of employee pricing on most 2024 and 2025 model vehicles. However, it’s important to note that some models, including the F-150 Raptors, 2025 Super Duty pickups, and Expedition, are excluded from this offer, along with the Lincoln Navigator and specific fleet vehicles.
In addition to the employee pricing, Ford is extending its popular “Power Promise” program, which provides EV buyers with a free Level 2 home charger, standard installation, 24/7 electric vehicle support, roadside assistance, and an impressive 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty. Initially launched in October, the program has been extended through the end of March due to the surge in EV sales. The Power Promise will now run through June 30 and applies to any new EV purchase or lease, encompassing models such as the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning.
According to Rob Kaffl, Ford’s director of US sales, the company’s ability to offer such steep discounts stems from a robust inventory, placing Ford in a competitive position within the market. Kaffl stated to The Detroit Free Press, “We’re in a very competitive position in our stock.” He emphasized that in light of ongoing market uncertainties, particularly with the implementation of new tariffs, the “From America, For America” campaign aims to provide consumers with a sense of security.
The actual value of the discounts will vary depending on the vehicle's price. For example, a Ford dealer (who requested to remain anonymous) noted that an F-150 XLT hybrid, originally priced at $65,000, would be available for $55,000 under the employee pricing plan. Similarly, the price for an Escape ST SUV, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $36,300, would be reduced to $33,000.
In addition to the discounts, Ford recently introduced the 2025 F-150 Lightning, featuring a new “Dark Elements” package and enhanced charging capabilities, starting at $62,995. The 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E is also now available, starting at $36,495, with options for rear-wheel drive (260-mile range) or all-wheel drive (240-mile range). Upgrading to the extended battery for the all-wheel-drive model will incur an additional cost of $5,500.
This new promotional effort comes on the heels of Ford reporting a 1.3% decline in US sales during the first quarter. Despite challenges with inventory, the Mustang Mach-E is experiencing a strong start in 2025, achieving sales of over 11,600 units, surpassing competitors like the Chevy Equinox EV and Honda Prologue. In contrast, GM has reported a nearly 17% growth in US sales during the same period, with EV sales doubling to 31,887, solidifying its position as the second-largest seller of EVs in the US behind Tesla, ahead of Ford's 22,550 units sold.
Although Ford boasts the largest manufacturing footprint in the US among legacy automakers, CEO Jim Farley acknowledges that the company is not exempt from the impacts of tariffs, as approximately 21% of the vehicles sold in the US are imported. In comparison, GM imports about 46% of its vehicles. Both automakers are proactively seeking ways to mitigate any potential negative effects.
