It seems that US users won’t be alone in missing out on Oppo’s latest and greatest foldable, as the company has now confirmed that the Oppo Find N5 won’t be launching in Europe. The Oppo Find N5 was introduced earlier this week, capturing attention as the “world’s thinnest” foldable. In our hands-on impressions, it’s clear this device is quite remarkable.
Despite the excitement surrounding the Oppo Find N5, it’s disappointing to learn that this innovative device won't reach many markets. Although the company described the Find N5’s launch as “global,” this description excludes Europe entirely, as confirmed in a statement shared with The Tech Chap and others this week.
At OPPO, product launches are meticulously planned for each region, based on comprehensive market research and strategic priorities. Unfortunately, the Find N5 will not be launching in Europe. Instead, Oppo plans to introduce the Reno13 series across Europe in Q1 2025, specifically on February 24. This launch aims to offer consumers more choices with advanced AI features and stylish, trend-forward designs. Stay tuned for updates.
In its announcement of the Find N5, Oppo stated that the Find N5 marks a new phase in the company’s global expansion. While the Find N5 is launching in Singapore, other launch markets are yet to be announced. It’s presumed that other Asian markets will receive the device, and it is also available in China, but the “global” launch isn’t as extensive as many had hoped or as was implied.
Last week, OnePlus confirmed that the Open 2 won’t be released this year, adding to anticipation around upcoming foldable devices.
