Earlier this month, Trump also voiced his objections to Harry Truman's redesign of the Lincoln Bedroom, which includes the bathroom. He criticized the style as "not good," pointing out that it reflects an art deco aesthetic that he believes is inappropriate for the historical context of the 1850s and the Civil War era. Truman renovated the Lincoln Bedroom in 1945, shortly after assuming the presidency from Franklin D. Roosevelt, incorporating primarily blue tones into the design.
