As the excitement builds in Las Vegas for the upcoming CinemaCon, Hollywood is witnessing a diverse range of performances at the international box office this weekend. Notably, Jason Statham’s latest action thriller, A Working Man, made a significant impact with a global debut of $30.2 million, which includes $15 million from various overseas markets. Meanwhile, Disney's Snow White experienced a notable decline, with a 48% drop in its offshore earnings during its second weekend.
In a positive development for the industry, Gower Street Analytics has revised its global box office forecast for 2025, now projecting a total of $34.1 billion. This optimistic revision is primarily attributed to the impressive performance of the Chinese blockbuster, Ne Zha 2. As CinemaCon approaches, there’s a wealth of upcoming films and announcements that promise to keep audiences engaged and entertained.
This weekend, Disney’s Snow White emerged as the top studio film, generating $22.1 million from 51 international markets.
