A source close to Aaron Phypers has come forth with allegations regarding Denise Richards’ recent claims about a black eye she attributes to him. This insider claims that Richards’ injury is not a result of physical abuse but rather connected to her purported “alcohol problem.” The source shared these insights with the Daily Mail on Thursday, stating, “This is consistent with the ongoing untruthfulness of Denise Richards, who is trying to hide her alcohol problem.”
According to this insider, the incident occurred in winter 2022 when Richards was reportedly intoxicated and fell while ascending the steps to Phypers’ now-closed medical clinic, Q360. “That photo was taken in winter 2022, and the fact is she was drunk at the time and fell coming up the steps,” the source claimed. The insider elaborated that several staff members in the office witnessed the fall, insisting that Phypers “has never touched Richards and never would.”
In her request for a temporary restraining order, which was granted on Wednesday, Richards provided a detailed account of the alleged incident. She claimed that Phypers, 49, struck her in the eye using the heel of his palm while using derogatory language. This incident reportedly occurred after Phypers had brought several potted plants into the clinic and became paranoid that they contained listening devices.
Richards described a police officer being present in the parking lot, who came to investigate the commotion. She stated that the alleged assault occurred after the officer left the scene. Additionally, Richards claimed that a female family member witnessed the incident and immediately sought out frozen food to help reduce the swelling from the injury. As evidence, she attached a photo of her black eye to the TRO request.
Richards further asserted that the black eye incident was not isolated. She detailed a troubling history of abuse, claiming that throughout their relationship, Phypers would often violently choke her, squeeze her head, slap her face, and even threaten to kill both her and himself if she ever reported his behavior to authorities. These allegations paint a disturbing picture of their relationship.
Interestingly, fans of the reality show Real Housewives of Beverly Hills uncovered a scene from Season 10 where Phypers threatened to “f–king crush” Richards’ hand while holding it, raising further questions about their dynamic.
In light of Richards’ serious allegations, Phypers filed for divorce from Richards last week after nearly seven years of marriage. He vehemently denied all claims of abuse, asserting in a public statement, “Let me be unequivocally clear: I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise — or anyone.” He characterized the accusations as “completely false and deeply hurtful.” Phypers acknowledged that he and Richards have faced challenges but maintained that any suggestion of abuse is “categorically untrue.”
He concluded his statement by urging the public and media to refrain from spreading “harmful and baseless claims.” Amidst this turmoil, Phypers, who has reportedly been unemployed since last year, is also seeking spousal support from Richards, whom he claims earns over $250,000 per month.
