With the One UI 8.0 rollout nearly complete for most eligible devices, Samsung is redirecting its focus to essential security updates. The company has recently shared details about this month’s security patch for Galaxy devices, announcing it a bit earlier than usual.
The November 2025 patch addresses a total of 25 vulnerabilities discovered within the Android operating system. Among these, two vulnerabilities have been classified as critical-risk, while the remaining are marked high-risk. Notably, one of the critical vulnerabilities affects devices running Android versions as far back as Android 13, while the other is specific to Android 16.
Importantly, this release does not resolve any moderate or low-risk vulnerabilities. However, Samsung has also included patches for vulnerabilities that are specific to its own software, which affect only Galaxy devices. In total, nine vulnerabilities related to Samsung's software have been addressed.
In addition to addressing software vulnerabilities, the November 2025 patch fixes 11 security flaws associated with the company’s Exynos chips, which are utilized in both smartphones and wearables. Most Exynos chips produced between 2019 and 2024 are believed to have been potentially affected by these vulnerabilities, highlighting the importance of this security update.
As of November 3, Samsung has not yet released any software updates that include the November 2025 security patch for its devices. However, users can expect this to change soon. Typically, only devices that are part of Samsung’s monthly security maintenance schedule are guaranteed to receive this patch. For models that fall under quarterly or biannual schedules, the availability of the November patch will depend on when they last received a security update.
Additionally, some devices may receive the November 2025 security patch bundled with the One UI 8.0 update. To check for updates manually, users should navigate to their device's Settings, select the Software update menu, and tap on Download and install.
As Samsung prioritizes security with the November 2025 patch, users are encouraged to stay informed and regularly check for updates. Ensuring that devices are up-to-date is essential for maintaining security and performance, particularly in light of the vulnerabilities addressed in this critical update.
