Samsung has surprised its users by rolling out One UI 7 Beta 5 for Galaxy S24 devices, just days after the release of Beta 4. This update continues the anticipation for the company's upcoming Android 15 update, which has been eagerly awaited by users worldwide.
The Android 15 beta, branded as One UI 7, was first released by Samsung in December 2024. This release came significantly later than the company's usual schedule, leading to a prolonged beta program. As of now, Samsung has not expanded the beta to other Galaxy devices, keeping users in suspense about when the full release will occur.
The third One UI 7 beta update was launched in early January, with the fourth beta following over a month later. The unexpected release of Beta 5 so soon after Beta 4 has surprised many, as it marks a deviation from the previous update intervals.
According to Jeff Springer from SammyGuru and SamMobile, the One UI 7 Beta 5 update is relatively small, at just 436.20MB. The update's changelog is minimal, primarily addressing a "VVM crash issue," which likely pertains to the visual voicemail features.
Earlier comments on Samsung's forums led some users to speculate that the One UI 7 beta program might be ending. However, rumors suggest that at least one more beta update will be forthcoming, with the full release anticipated around April.
In related news, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is reportedly set to offer several upgrades, though it will retain the same battery. Meanwhile, Samsung is rolling out the February 2025 update to various Galaxy devices ahead of the One UI 7 release.
