Samsung is set to release at least one more One UI 7 beta firmware for the Galaxy S24 series before the official rollout of the stable One UI 7 update. This announcement comes on the heels of Samsung's recent confirmation that the official rollout will commence on April 7. With this timeline in mind, it appears that Samsung is on track to follow through with its rumored plan of providing a total of six beta updates prior to the launch of the stable version.
The latest beta firmware, identified by build version ZYCC, was recently discovered on Samsung's servers by tipster Tarun Vats. This source has also been instrumental in the speculation surrounding the six beta releases for the upcoming 2024 Galaxy S flagship. The fifth beta update, which was rolled out on March 17, introduced the Log video recording mode from the Galaxy S25 series to both the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models. Notably, the S24 Ultra received this feature with the previous fourth beta release.
Alongside the new features, the fifth beta update also addressed numerous bugs, including a significant issue that prevented a live media player widget from appearing in the Now Bar. Looking ahead, users can expect additional bug fixes and enhancements with the upcoming beta release, although it is unlikely to be the final batch. Any remaining bug fixes are anticipated to be included in the official One UI 7 update.
It is important to note that the stable One UI 7 update will not be available to all users on April 7. Instead, the rollout will be limited to select markets on that date. Other regions may experience a wait of a few days or potentially up to two weeks before the update becomes available.
In addition to the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung is also preparing to introduce One UI 7 to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 next month, along with other flagship devices launched in 2023 and 2024. This strategy underscores Samsung's commitment to enhancing the user experience across its latest smartphone lineup.
