Samsung One UI 8: Upcoming Enhancements and Design Improvements

As we reported earlier, One UI 8 is set to launch as soon as this month. Recent internal builds of this upcoming software have been showcased, revealing exciting updates and improvements. A new report indicates that One UI 8.0 will introduce a refreshed design aimed at enhancing usability across various applications, particularly the Samsung Reminder app.

Revamped Samsung Reminder App Design

The Samsung Reminder app, which underwent several feature enhancements in One UI 7, is expected to receive a significant design overhaul in One UI 8. According to reports from Twitter user @theordysm, the app's home page will feature a more streamlined and user-friendly layout. Notably, the Categories section will now be positioned prominently at the top of the home screen, replacing its previous location in the hamburger menu on the left side. This change aims to simplify navigation and improve overall usability.

New Features in One UI 8 Reminder App

In the updated Samsung Reminder app, users will find six distinct Category cards displayed at the top of the home screen. These categories include Today, Scheduled, Important, Place, No Alert, and Completed. Below these cards, users can easily access their recent reminders. If the category section occupies too much space, there’s an option to minimize their size simply by scrolling down.

Another notable change is the redesign of the text field at the bottom of the screen, where users input their reminders. The Plus icon, which was previously a separate button on the right, has been moved inside the text field on the left side, making the interface cleaner and more intuitive. Additionally, it appears that the Sort By button has been removed from this version, streamlining the user experience even further.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next for One UI 8

As it stands, this leak provides a glimpse into the exciting developments we can expect from the upcoming version of the Samsung Reminder app. With the One UI 8 Beta Program anticipated to open soon, users can look forward to gaining a better understanding of all the stock Samsung apps and the enhancements they will bring. Keep an eye out for more updates as the official release date approaches!
