Following the successful launch of the Galaxy S25, Samsung's next major releases are the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. While much attention has been directed towards the anticipated design changes of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it's time to focus on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which is set to debut in just a few months.
Recent leaks have provided a clearer, albeit "thicker," picture of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Unlike its counterpart, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is rumored to feature a slightly larger display and a thinner chassis, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 appears to maintain the same thickness as its predecessor. According to these renders, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 measures 166.6 x 75.2 x 6.9 mm, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 measures 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm.
The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 will boast a 6.8-inch inner display and a 3.6-inch outer display, slightly larger than the 6.7-inch inner and 3.4-inch outer displays of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. When unfolded, the device will retain a thickness of 6.9 mm, expanding to nearly 15 mm when folded. Notably, the camera bump increases the thickness to 9.1 mm when unfolded.
In terms of photography, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to house a dual-camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera alongside a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Although this configuration mirrors that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6, potential upgrades might be introduced under the hood to enhance performance.
Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will present slightly larger displays and dimensions, yet it retains the same thickness as its predecessor. As for the camera specifications, significant changes are not anticipated, suggesting that Samsung is opting for a conservative approach with this release. It remains to be seen whether the new model will be heavier than the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
