Intel Corporation has made significant advancements in the world of graphics processing units (GPUs) and artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators by expanding the Intel Arc Pro GPU lineup during the Computex 2025 event held in Taipei, Taiwan. This announcement marks a crucial development for prosumers and AI developers, showcasing Intel’s commitment to innovation and collaboration within the technology ecosystem.
On May 19, 2025, just ahead of the Computex event, Intel introduced the Intel Arc Pro B60 and B50 graphics processing units. These new GPUs are designed specifically for workstation and AI inference, enhancing the existing Arc Pro family with superior memory configurations and broader software support. The B-Series GPUs are built on the advanced Xe2 architecture, which incorporates Intel® Xe Matrix Extensions (XMX) AI cores and cutting-edge ray tracing units, making them ideal for creators, developers, and engineers who demand high-performance capabilities.
Intel has also introduced the Gaudi 3 AI accelerators, which are now available in PCIe and rack scale systems. These accelerators provide scalable, open solutions tailored for enterprise and cloud AI inferencing. The Gaudi 3 PCIe cards support various AI models, allowing customers from small businesses to large enterprises the flexibility to execute models ranging from Llama 3.1 8B to the full-scale Llama 4 Scout.
This week’s product announcements coincide with Intel’s 40th anniversary in Taiwan, celebrating four decades of fruitful collaboration and innovation focused on the x86 architecture. Intel CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, emphasized the importance of partnerships within the Taiwan ecosystem, stating, “For the past 40 years, the power of our partnership with the Taiwan ecosystem has fueled innovation that has changed our world for the better.”
The new Intel Arc Pro B60 and B50 GPUs feature AI-ready specifications, with memory options of 24 gigabytes (GB) and 16GB, respectively. These GPUs are optimized for demanding applications in architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC), and they ensure high stability and performance through extensive independent software vendor (ISV) certifications. Additionally, these GPUs are compatible with both consumer and pro drivers on Windows and support a containerized software stack on Linux, simplifying AI deployments.
Intel also unveiled a configurable workstation-class platform, codenamed Project Battlematrix, designed to mitigate friction points for AI developers. This platform can accommodate up to eight Intel Arc Pro B60 GPUs, enabling the development of medium-sized AI models with precision. The combination of high memory capacity and software compatibility positions the Intel Arc Pro B-Series as a scalable and cost-effective solution for AI developers and creative professionals.
The Intel Arc Pro B60 GPU will start sampling from various add-in board partners, including ASRock, Gunnir, and others, beginning in June 2025. The Intel Arc Pro B50 GPU is expected to be available through Intel-authorized resellers starting in July 2025.
Intel's Gaudi 3 AI accelerators are designed with flexibility in mind. The rack scale system reference designs support up to 64 accelerators per rack and provide 8.2 terabytes (TB) of high-bandwidth memory, ensuring robust performance for running large AI models. The architecture is optimized for real-time inferencing, reinforcing Intel’s dedication to developing open, flexible, and secure AI infrastructure.
Following its debut at CES 2025, the Intel AI Assistant Builder is now publicly available on GitHub. This lightweight framework allows developers to create and run custom AI agents locally on Intel-based systems. With innovative solutions showcased by partners like Acer and ASUS, the Intel AI Assistant Builder streamlines the development and deployment of AI agents tailored for specific organizational needs.
Intel will showcase its latest innovations in processors and graphics at Computex 2025, located at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. Attendees can visit the Intel booth from May 20 to May 23, where the hours are set from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Taiwan Local Time.
