This new subscription will reportedly include both free and paid tiers, with the paid options potentially being labeled as Google Home Premium and Google Home Premium Advanced, the latter of which could serve as a replacement for Nest Aware Plus.
In addition to software upgrades, Google is set to unveil several new Nest devices, including a Gemini-powered Home speaker, a new Nest Indoor Cam, a Nest Outdoor Cam, and a Nest Doorbell. The latest report highlights that the Indoor Cam, which last saw an update in 2022, is expected to be launched in multiple colors such as Snow, Berry, and Hazel. This third-generation camera will feature improved specifications, including a stunning 2K HDR resolution—a significant upgrade from the current 1080p model. Users can also look forward to a 6x digital zoom and three-hour video previews, with one hour of locally stored video, although a paid subscription will still be necessary for extended features.
The new Outdoor Cam will be a wired version, and it is expected to come in the same color options of Snow or Hazel. Like its indoor counterpart, it will receive similar enhancements aimed at improving user experience. Furthermore, the redesigned Nest Doorbell will also adopt a 2K resolution and will be available in multiple colors like Snow, Hazel, and Linen. One of the standout features across all three devices will be the introduction of Daily Summaries, which will provide users with a recap of recorded events, generated through the capabilities of Gemini.
While no official release date has been disclosed for these new products, the anticipated launch of the Gemini replacement is scheduled for October.
