Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event is just hours away, and a significant amount of pre-release information has emerged, thanks to renowned tipster Roland Quandt from WinFuture. The upcoming event, scheduled for July 9, is expected to unveil a range of exciting new devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.

On Monday, Quandt shared what appeared to be official specification sheets for these foldable smartphones. Today, he added to that knowledge by revealing what seem to be pre-release marketing materials sourced directly from Samsung. In a recent post on Bluesky, which was highlighted by The Verge, Quandt pointed out an intriguing detail: none of the promotional materials indicate that the Z Fold 7 will support the S Pen.

In previous iterations of the Z Fold series, Samsung offered a separate stylus that users could purchase along with specially designed cases to accommodate it. The absence of S Pen support in the upcoming model raises questions about Samsung's direction with this feature.

New Wearables Expected at Galaxy Unpacked

In addition to the foldable smartphones, Quandt also unveiled images and specifications for Samsung's upcoming wearables, set to launch in 2025. The new lineup includes the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, both of which appear to have undergone significant redesigns. They now share a similar “squircle” form factor reminiscent of last year’s Watch Ultra.

One of the most notable improvements is that Samsung has managed to make these smartwatches 11 percent thinner. Furthermore, the AMOLED display has been upgraded, promising an impressive brightness of up to 3,000 nits, ideal for visibility even in bright sunlight.

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic appears to offer additional enhancements, including a generous 64GB of storage and a larger 445mAh battery. Meanwhile, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to come with 64GB of base storage, indicating a focus on performance and usability for consumers.
