When Apple previewed watchOS 26 during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, the tech giant kept fans on the edge of their seats by not revealing any new watch faces. However, during the recent Awe Dropping event, Apple showcased the much-anticipated watch faces alongside the new Apple Watch models, confirming that they had been saving the best for last.
Apple's latest update includes four innovative watch faces that are set to enhance the user experience on the upcoming Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3. According to Apple's release notes, the new watch faces are:
Exactograph: A modern interpretation of a traditional regulator watch, this face separates hours, minutes, and seconds to provide more precise timekeeping. Flow: Featuring Liquid Glass numerals, this watch face refracts a fluid orb of color that dynamically responds to your wrist movements. Waypoint: This live compass feature indicates your current location in relation to saved locations in Maps or points of interest. (Exclusive to Apple Watch Ultra) Hermès Faubourg Party: This unique face displays animated shorts that change based on the time of day or your movements, showcasing a series of charming characters. (Exclusive to Apple Watch Hermès)Exciting news for Apple Watch users: the new watch faces are not just for the latest models. While Waypoint is exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra, which already features two other faces named Wayfinder and Modular Ultra, the Exactograph and Flow faces will be available for all Apple Watch models that support watchOS 26. Meanwhile, the Hermès Faubourg Party face is designed specifically for Hermès models.
In addition to the new watch faces, Apple has revamped the existing Photos face. The new design incorporates Liquid Glass elements, elevating numerals to ensure that more of your cherished photos are visible. Furthermore, Apple has made it easier to explore watch faces through a redesigned gallery, where faces are now grouped into convenient collections.
Mark your calendars! The watchOS 26 update will be available for all users on Monday, September 15. This anticipated update promises to enhance your Apple Watch experience with new features and stunning watch faces.
