Federal authorities have uncovered a disturbing case involving a teenager, who allegedly murdered his parents to secure the financial means and autonomy necessary for a plot to assassinate the President of the United States. The motive behind this heinous act was reportedly to destabilize the U.S. government and promote a racist ideology aimed at “saving the white race.”
During the investigation, officials discovered a three-page antisemitic manifesto that praised Adolf Hitler and included instructions for bomb-making. Furthermore, they found communications in Russian and messages on platforms like TikTok and Telegram, where the teenager discussed not only his plan to kill his parents but also his allegiance to neo-Nazi and racially motivated extremist groups.
The bodies of the teenager's mother and stepfather were found in an advanced state of decomposition in their home located in Waukesha, a suburb of Milwaukee. This grim discovery occurred on February 28, following a welfare check requested by Donald Mayer’s mother after the teenager had missed school for approximately two weeks.
Authorities suspect that the teenager, identified as Casap, shot and killed his parents and then lived with their corpses for several weeks. After the murders, he reportedly fled the scene with Mayer’s SUV, approximately $14,000 in cash, passports, phones, his parents’ wallets, a firearm, and even the family dog.
Casap was apprehended during a traffic stop in Kansas shortly after the bodies were discovered. He is currently being held at the Waukesha County jail on a bond of $1 million and is scheduled to appear in court next month to enter a plea.
The affidavit detailing the case indicates that Casap had been in contact with other individuals regarding his plans to assassinate the President and overthrow the U.S. government. He allegedly financed, at least in part, a drone and explosives intended for use as a weapon of mass destruction in his planned attack.
Authorities noted that the murder of his parents seemed to be a calculated effort to gain the financial resources and independence necessary to execute his plot. It appears that others, with whom Casap communicated, were aware of and provided assistance for his actions.
In a chilling revelation, the teenager allegedly shared his intentions to kill his parents with a classmate and mentioned being in contact with a man in Russia about plans to assassinate former President Trump and topple the U.S. government. Additionally, a review of his communications indicated that he planned to leave the United States for Ukraine after carrying out his violent plot.
The FBI office in Milwaukee has referred inquiries regarding the case to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, which has opted not to comment. Meanwhile, Casap’s public defender, Nicole Ostrowski, has not responded to requests for comments about the ongoing case. The White House has also not issued a statement in response to inquiries.
