During the highly anticipated Elena showcase at Evo Japan 2025, players and fans of the Street Fighter 6 community were treated to an exclusive look at Elena's moves using Classic controls. Attendees had the opportunity to capture images of these moves, which we have translated and compiled for everyone to review. This detailed breakdown highlights Elena's five special moves, two of which can execute the crucial Lynx Whirl follow-up, namely Spinning Scythe and Lynx Song.
When comparing Elena's moves to her previous appearances in Ultra Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter X Tekken, and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, players will notice significant similarities. While some attacks retain their classic names, others have been rebranded or modified in terms of abilities. This overlap provides a sense of familiarity for long-time fans while introducing fresh mechanics for new players.
In addition to the showcase of special moves, we also shared our hands-on impressions of Elena from the Evo Japan 2025 build of Street Fighter 6. One of the standout features is Elena's ability to perform a juggle with her Super 1, Meteor Volley, allowing her to follow up with her Dragon Kick, known as Scratch Wheel. This combo showcases her potential for high damage output in matches.
Another key aspect of Elena's gameplay is her healing ability, which recovers approximately 1,200 health, equating to about 12% of the typical life bar in Street Fighter 6. However, it’s important to note that Elena does not possess throw loops, even following a Drive Rush. This observation has sparked speculation that throw loops may have been adjusted for some, if not all, of the other 25 characters in the game.
Elena also features a target combo that connects from Crouching Medium Kick to Heavy Kick, which can be special canceled. However, players should be aware that this combo can whiff against crouching opponents. Additionally, Elena has a two-hitting special cancellable Crouching Heavy Punch. Although it has limited range, it can be effectively used in conjunction with Drive Rush to transition into Crouching Heavy Punch followed by Crouching Medium Punch, allowing for varied follow-up attacks.
As we look forward to Elena's official release on June 5, 2025, players can click the image below to access a comprehensive listing of her attacks in Street Fighter 6.
