In a shocking turn of events, the Los Angeles Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in the tragic shooting deaths of Robin Kaye, a longtime supervisor for American Idol, and her husband, Thomas Deluca. The couple was found dead in their Encino home on July 14, prompting a swift investigation by local law enforcement.
On Tuesday, just a day after the murders, the LAPD revealed that they had identified and arrested Raymond Boodarian, a 22-year-old resident of Encino, as the primary suspect in this double homicide. Both Kaye and Deluca, who were 70 years old, were discovered deceased after a welfare check was conducted at their residence, following concerns from friends and family.
According to a press release issued by the LAPD, homicide investigators quickly got to work, interviewing those close to the victims, reviewing surveillance footage, and collecting evidence from the scene. The investigation revealed that both victims died from multiple gunshot wounds. Notably, the police stated, "While there were no signs of forced entry or trouble at the location during that investigation, it is now believed that the suspect had gained entry into the residence through an unlocked door."
