Blizzard Entertainment's Season 14 is here, brimming with exciting new challenges and features designed to enhance your gaming experience! Players can now take on the formidable Heroic Molten Core or engage in electrifying matches with friends using the innovative Friendly Duels feature. Additionally, the introduction of Split Leader Star Tomes and a special Login event allows players to unlock and upgrade their beloved Minis. Explore the depths of the G.R.I.D. to discover new characters like the Split Leaders and the Headless Horseman.
In this season, significant adjustments have been made to improve gameplay balance. The highly anticipated rework of Bloodmage Thalnos includes changing his Drain Life talent to Drain Soul. This new ability now allows players to reduce the cost of their next spell by 1 after defeating an enemy, with a cooldown of 12 seconds. Moreover, Lifesteal has been integrated into Thalnos' base attack, albeit reduced from 10% to 8%.
In addition to Thalnos, Arthas Menethil, known as the Lich King, has seen his Purgatory talent duration reduced to 3 seconds, while the cooldown for re-summoning Undead Footmen has increased to 13 seconds. These changes aim to balance gameplay while maintaining the character's thematic integrity.
Several other troops have received vital adjustments. For instance, the Treants now heal for 90 from their Composting talent, and they will apply a heal over time effect. Meanwhile, Vultures have been buffed, increasing their spawn numbers from 2 to 3, and their kills now yield 2 Vultures instead of 1. On the other hand, the Huntress has experienced a health reduction from 400 to 350, ensuring better balance across gameplay.
Changes have also been implemented for other Minis such as Swole Troll, whose health has been reduced to 2,600, while his turn speed has been increased to prevent lane blockage. The Headless Horseman now costs 4 gold instead of 5, making him more accessible for players.
Season 14 features an exciting lineup of events, beginning with the Ironforge Siege from April 23 to May 6, followed by Blingtron's Bounties from May 7 to 13, and the Molten Core event from May 7 to 20. Players can also look forward to the Darkmoon Faire from May 21 to 27 and the Stormwind Siege from May 21 to June 3. Additionally, a special Login Event will run from May 21 to June 10, giving players opportunities to earn rewards during these limited-time events.
