The price of the Galaxy S25 Edge ranges from Rs 1.09 lakh to Rs 1.22 lakh, making it a premium offering in the smartphone market. This pricing reflects Samsung's strategy to position itself competitively within the Indian smartphone segment.
According to recent research by Counterpoint Research, both Apple and Samsung dominated the smartphone manufacturing sector in India in 2024, accounting for an impressive 94 percent of total smartphones produced. Samsung emerged as a leader in smartphone production volume, holding a 20 percent market share during the same year.
Samsung's decision to manufacture the Galaxy S25 Edge in India marks a significant milestone, highlighting the country's growing importance in the global technology landscape. Tech and auto expert Nikhil Chawla noted that this move reflects India's rising status as both a manufacturing hub and a center for innovation.
In the March 2025 quarter, Samsung achieved a 17 percent market share in the Indian smartphone segment, driven by its strategic portfolio expansion.
