Today, we have more exciting news as the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed what fans can expect from the design of two new iPhone models set to debut next year: the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 17e.
According to DCS, the design of the iPhone 18 Pro will retain the same basic rear camera configuration as this year’s iPhone 17 Pro. This means that the full-width camera ‘plateau’ will look identical to what has been introduced in the current Pro models. However, there is speculation regarding the glass cutout beneath the plateau; DCS previously hinted at a slightly altered transparent appearance for the iPhone 18 Pro.
Aside from potential new color options, there may also be modifications to the device's lower half. The exact details remain unclear, but as we approach the launch, more information is likely to emerge.
Moving on to the iPhone 17e, which is expected to launch early next year, DCS has confirmed that this model will feature a Dynamic Island display. This is a significant upgrade from the current iPhone 16e, which utilizes a standard notch design. This development aligns with earlier disclosures from DCS about the iPhone 17e.
Additionally, DCS revealed a noteworthy detail: the display on the iPhone 17e will only support a refresh rate of 60Hz. This isn’t particularly surprising, given that Apple has just introduced ProMotion support to the base model with the iPhone 17. It appears that fans of the budget-friendly ‘e’ model will have to wait at least another year before witnessing ProMotion technology.
When questioned about the design of the base model iPhone 18, DCS mentioned that there are currently no specifications available for that version, focusing solely on the iPhone 18 Pro. This leaves enthusiasts eagerly anticipating further updates.
