Recent iOS 19 mockup images shared by leaker Jon Prosser have sparked discussion within the tech community, but according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, these images do not accurately represent the upcoming iOS 19 design. On social media, Gurman clarified that the circulating images are derived from outdated builds and vague descriptions, missing essential features that users might expect.
Gurman emphasized that the mockups released by Prosser either rely on very old screenshots or lack access to the genuine design of iOS 19. In his comments on the Power On Discord channel, he stated, "He either has very old screenshots or hasn't seen the real thing." This indicates a significant gap between what is being presented and what users can realistically expect from the official release.
Prosser's mockups claim to depict the actual version of iOS 19 that he has seen, but they reveal only minimal design changes. For instance, the Messages app mockup showcases slight modifications to the navigation buttons and a more rounded keyboard. Additionally, the Lock Screen appears to have few alterations apart from enhancements in translucency. These limited updates raise questions about the overall design direction Apple is taking with this iteration.

This glass-like styling, inspired by visionOS, aligns with trends in modern user interface design.
