Following the recent launch of Apple’s iPhone 17, tech analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg is already forecasting what’s next for the tech giant. In his latest edition of the Power On newsletter, Gurman reveals that Apple has at least 10 new products slated for release either later this year or in the first half of 2026. Many of these products have been rumored for quite some time, while others are anticipated upgrades that fans are eagerly awaiting.
Among the most anticipated devices is the M5 iPad Pro, which is expected to debut in October. This model marks a significant upgrade, as it will likely feature the powerful M5 chip. An intriguing rumor suggests that this iPad Pro may include a second front-facing camera, catering to users who prefer using their iPad in portrait mode. Following the iPad Pro's launch, we can also expect upgraded MacBook Pros and MacBook Airs to be unveiled in early 2026.
In addition to the flagship models, Gurman hints at a more budget-friendly iPhone 17e scheduled for release early next year. While upgrades over the iPhone 16e are expected to be minimal, the new model will integrate the advanced A19 chip found in the iPhone 17 series, ensuring a performance boost while maintaining a familiar design.
Apple's Apple TV and HomePod mini are also set to receive significant updates next year. These updates will include processor enhancements and support for the latest version of Siri, along with new Apple Intelligence features that promise to improve user experience and functionality.
The Vision Pro headset is anticipated to get an upgrade as well, featuring an M4 processor and an improved headband design. However, the overall design is expected to remain largely unchanged, with a more substantial update planned for 2027.
Perhaps the most intriguing item on Gurman's list is the much-rumored smart home hub, code-named J490. Initial expectations were for this device to launch in March, but it never materialized. Gurman now predicts a spring release, marking a significant addition to Apple's product lineup and expanding its presence in the smart home market. This new hub would be Apple’s first major product in this category since the introduction of the HomePod and iPad.
Finally, the upcoming AirTag 2 is set to feature improved range, thanks to a new wireless chip. Additionally, Apple is reportedly working on a pair of new monitors, referenced by their code-names J427 and J527, which likely indicate the development of two 27-inch displays. With the Pro Display XDR and Studio Display both aging since their respective launches in 2019, new monitors could be a welcome addition to Apple’s offerings.
As we look ahead, Apple enthusiasts have plenty to be excited about, with a range of new products that promise to enhance the user experience and reaffirm Apple’s commitment to innovation.
