The A20 chip, which is expected to feature in next year's iPhone lineup, is set to utilize a cutting-edge 2-nanometer process. However, the report indicates that TSMC, the company responsible for manufacturing the chip, has invested heavily in developing this technology. Consequently, TSMC is less inclined to offer discounts or negotiate pricing, resulting in a projected price hike of at least 50% compared to the current 3-nanometer process.
