Leticia Paul was undergoing a routine checkup, primarily because of her history of kidney stones. During the CT scan, she unexpectedly went into anaphylactic shock, a severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. Medical staff immediately intubated her and performed various life-saving measures; however, despite their efforts, the young lawyer passed away less than 24 hours later.
Anaphylactic shock is characterized as “a sudden, severe, and life-threatening allergic reaction.” According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, this reaction can lead to a range of critical symptoms, including “constriction of the airways, leading to difficulty breathing,” “swelling of the throat,” and a “drop in blood pressure,” among others. The rapid onset of these symptoms can be fatal without immediate medical intervention.

Her aunt, Sandra Paul, shared with G1, “She loved law, she was so studious.
