This unprecedented collaboration is expected to meet the overwhelming demand for “KPop Demon Hunters” merchandise.
Fans can look forward to a wide array of licensed merchandise from both Mattel and Hasbro, which will become available at retail locations starting in the spring of 2026. The dual co-master toy license structure is believed to be a first in the industry, signaling Netflix's confidence in the franchise's potential. The merchandise will allow fans of all ages to immerse themselves in the vibrant characters, music, and enchanting world of the film.
Mattel is gearing up to develop a diverse range of “KPop Demon Hunters” themed products across multiple categories. This includes dolls, action figures, accessories, collectibles, playsets, and collaborations with co-brands, all set for global distribution. To give fans a sneak peek, Mattel will launch a presale of a three-pack of Huntr/x fashion dolls on November 12, available for preorder via Mattel Creations, with shipments scheduled for 2026.
Meanwhile, Hasbro's collection will feature a range of products including special-feature plushies, youth electronics, and role-playing items. Hasbro is also planning cross-brand collaborations with popular franchises like Hasbro Games, Wizards of the Coast, Nerf, and Furby. The first product under this collaboration is a card game titled Monopoly Deal: KPop Demon Hunters, priced at $12.99. Pre-orders will be available on major retail platforms such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart starting October 21, with shipments commencing on January 1, 2026.
The surge in interest for “KPop Demon Hunters” merchandise follows the film's explosive success on Netflix. After its premiere on June 20, the movie and its soundtrack dominated the charts, achieving a remarkable 325 million views worldwide in just 91 days. The film is now recognized as the most popular movie of all time on Netflix. Its soundtrack reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s 200 Albums chart and has been streamed over 8.3 billion times globally, with the single “Golden” setting records as the longest-running No. 1 hit by a girl group on the Billboard Hot 100 this century.
This year, all five main characters from the film were among the top five most-searched-for Halloween costumes, showcasing the movie's cultural impact. In response to the overwhelming fan enthusiasm, Netflix decided to break its traditional approach to theatrical releases by hosting a two-day sing-along event in more than 1,700 North American theaters on August 23-24. The film is also set to return to theaters for Halloween weekend screenings from October 31 to November 2 at major chains like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.
Produced in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation, discussions for a sequel are already underway. Netflix's Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee noted that “KPop Demon Hunters” has sparked a global fan frenzy, characterized by dancing, singing, and an emotional connection that exceeded expectations. With Mattel and Hasbro joining forces, fans will finally have access to the dolls, games, and merchandise they've been passionately requesting across social media platforms.
Tim Kilpin, President of Toy, Licensing and Entertainment at Hasbro, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating that it allows them to bring the film's vibrant universe to life beyond the screen. He articulated that the partnership with Netflix creates immersive experiences for fans through play. Similarly, Roberto Stanichi, Chief Global Brand Officer of Mattel, expressed excitement about celebrating the film's breakout characters and leveraging Mattel's design and marketing expertise to introduce a wide range of products that will delight fans globally.
