Millie Bobby Brown opened up about her experiences in married life with Jake Bongiovi, revealing insights about their relationship and shared values. The couple first tied the knot in a small ceremony in May last year, followed by a larger celebration in Italy in October. At the time of their marriage, Millie was 20 years old and Jake was 22.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Millie expressed the importance of being aligned with her partner. "We were pretty united going into it," she said, emphasizing the significance of discussing political views, family goals, and the kind of home and careers they envision. "It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him," she continued.
Millie reflected on the differences between loving someone and being in love. "Loving someone and being in love are two different things...I think I loved a lot of people I was with, like I loved my friends. But he is the first man I’ve ever loved and been in love with. If we’re not fully invested, then what’s the point? We have to be, and we always have been," she explained.
The couple resides on a farm in Georgia, surrounded by numerous rescue animals. Millie describes their rustic lifestyle as genuine and far from a mere aesthetic choice. "I’m not doing it for the aesthetic," she asserted. "I’m doing it because I love it. There are maybe some trad wives out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not. If you’re not picking up horse shit or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all."
