Canelo Alvarez is set to make history as he fights outside of Mexico and the United States for the very first time in his illustrious career. The unified super middleweight champion will travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to face off against William Scull this Saturday. The highly anticipated matchup will be available on DAZN PPV, starting at 7 p.m. ET.

With a professional record of 62 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws, including 39 knockouts, Alvarez is on a quest to become the undisputed champion at 168 pounds for the second time. A victory in this bout would set the stage for an exciting showdown with Terence Crawford in September, further solidifying Alvarez's status as one of the top fighters in the sport.

Alvarez previously unified all four major super middleweight titles when he achieved an 11-round TKO victory over Caleb Plant in November 2021. Following that triumph, he successfully defended his titles four times. However, Alvarez was stripped of the IBF title after he opted to fight Edgar Berlanga instead of Scull, who was the mandatory challenger at the time.

William Scull, boasting an impressive record of 23 wins, 0 losses, and 9 knockouts, will be making his first title defense against Alvarez. Scull earned his shot at the title after a controversial unanimous decision victory over Vladimir Shishkin for the vacant IBF title in October.

Co-Main Event: Badou Jack vs. Norair Mikaeljan

In the co-main event, Badou Jack will put his WBC cruiserweight title on the line against Norair Mikaeljan. Jack, with a record of 28 wins, 3 losses, and 3 draws, including 17 KOs, is returning to the ring for the first time in two years. His last fight was a thrilling 12th-round TKO against Ilunga Junior Makabu, which earned him the title.

Originally, Jack was scheduled to face Ryan Rozicki, but Rozicki had to withdraw due to an injury sustained during training in early April. Mikaeljan, the WBC champion in recess, comes into this fight riding a four-fight winning streak following a decision loss to Mairis Briedis in November 2018.
