The excitement surrounding the 2025 NFL Draft has been building for months, especially with the elite prospects now more defined after a frenzied free agency period. Teams have strategically addressed their needs, making it easier to predict the order in which players will be selected. This clarity on team requirements, coupled with player value assessments, has prompted numerous projected trades in my latest analysis of the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

1. New York Giants (from Tennessee Titans): Cam Ward, QB, Miami (Fla.)

With only Tommy DeVito currently on their roster, the New York Giants are in desperate need of a quarterback. The question isn't if they'll make a move but when and for whom. While a veteran like Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson could serve as a temporary fix, the Giants need a long-term solution. Cam Ward, the all-time passing touchdowns champion in college football with 158 touchdowns, presents an exciting upside. His continued improvement as a passer makes him a compelling choice for a franchise in search of revitalization.

2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State

Despite recently awarding Myles Garrett with a record-breaking contract for a non-quarterback, the Cleveland Browns can’t overlook the need for another elite edge rusher. Pairing Garrett with Abdul Carter, one of this year's standout prospects, could be the quickest route back to playoff contention for Cleveland, especially considering their ongoing struggles at quarterback.

3. Tennessee Titans (from New York Giants): Travis Hunter, CB-WR, Colorado

The Tennessee Titans currently possess one of the least talented rosters in the NFL. Trading out of the top pick could allow them to accumulate more valuable selections while still securing Travis Hunter, a unique dual-threat talent capable of playing both cornerback and wide receiver. He’s a legitimate candidate for the No. 1 overall pick due to his game-changing abilities.

4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell, OL, LSU

The New England Patriots entered free agency with substantial cap space and made significant moves. However, left tackle and receiver remain concerns. Will Campbell, though lacking elite physical attributes, is one of the most pro-ready tackles available. He could serve as an immediate protector for quarterback Drake Maye, ensuring stability on the offensive line.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

History shows that tight ends taken in the top 10 often struggle, but Tyler Warren stands out as one of the elite talents in this class. The Jacksonville Jaguars are keen to maximize the potential of quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and pairing Warren with last year’s first-round pick, Brian Thomas Jr., could be the key to unlocking their offense.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

Following the acquisition of Geno Smith, the Las Vegas Raiders must now focus on addressing a dismal rushing attack that averaged 3.6 yards per carry last season. While several quality running backs are available later in the draft, Ashton Jeanty is a special talent that the Raiders may want to snag early in the first round.

7. New York Jets: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

To embody the blue-collar ethos of new head coach Aaron Glenn, the New York Jets should consider adding tough, gritty players like Mason Graham to their roster. Graham’s work ethic and physicality make him an ideal fit for the Jets' evolving culture.

8. Carolina Panthers: Shemar Stewart, Edge, Texas A&M

After relying on aging veterans like Jadeveon Clowney, the Carolina Panthers must inject youth and energy into their pass-rushing unit. Shemar Stewart impressed at both the Senior Bowl and Combine, making him an exciting prospect with significant upside.

9. New Orleans Saints: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Even with Chris Olave on the roster, the New Orleans Saints need additional offensive weapons. Tetairoa McMillan offers a unique combination of size and speed, making him an ideal complement to Olave and enhancing the Saints’ playmaking capabilities.

10. Chicago Bears: Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia

The Chicago Bears have made impressive moves this offseason, and with their pick at No. 10 overall, they can afford to take a risk. Mykel Williams, a three-time All-SEC selection, possesses the tools necessary to make a significant impact on their defense.

11. San Francisco 49ers: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

After a tumultuous offseason, the San Francisco 49ers need to reshape their roster. Armand Membou, with his agility and power, is an immediate upgrade at right tackle and a strong candidate to succeed Trent Williams in the future.

12. Dallas Cowboys: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

The Dallas Cowboys must enhance their receiving corps to support Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb. Matthew Golden, with his elite speed and playmaking abilities, could quickly become a standout performer in the NFL.

13. Miami Dolphins: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

After losing Christian Wilkins to free agency, the Miami Dolphins need to bolster their defensive line. Walter Nolen's remarkable burst and agility position him as the top defensive tackle on many draft boards.

14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

The Indianapolis Colts face a challenging situation after losing key offensive linemen in free agency. Tyler Booker, known for his versatility and physicality, could provide the necessary toughness to maintain the Colts' formidable offensive line.

15. Atlanta Falcons: Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia

With a history of poor sack production, the Atlanta Falcons must prioritize finding an impactful linebacker like Jalon Walker. His explosive playmaking ability could invigorate their defense significantly.

16. Arizona Cardinals: Nic Scourton, Edge, Texas A&M

The Arizona Cardinals are transitioning to a more physical style of play under new head coach Jonathan Gannon. Nic Scourton, with his grit and persistence, fits perfectly into this new identity.

17. Cincinnati Bengals: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

The Cincinnati Bengals have a reputation for selecting players with elite traits, and Nick Emmanwori fits that mold. His impressive size and ball skills make him an exciting addition to their defense.

18. Seattle Seahawks: Kelvin Banks Jr., OL, Texas

As the Seattle Seahawks undergo significant changes in their passing game, addressing their offensive line remains critical. Kelvin Banks Jr. has shown promise as a left tackle, but his skills may be better suited for the guard position in the NFL.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers struggled against the pass last season, and Will Johnson is a top-10 talent who could bolster their secondary. Concerns about his health might allow him to slip, making him a potential steal for the Buccaneers.

20. Denver Broncos: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Replacing one former Tar Heels running back with another could be the strategy for the Denver Broncos. Omarion Hampton’s combination of size, speed, and proficiency in the passing game might make him a better fit in Sean Payton’s offensive scheme.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be interested in Shedeur Sanders despite questions about his leadership. His accuracy and experience in a pro-style offense make him a compelling option, especially with the recent additions to their roster.

22. Los Angeles Chargers: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College

To enhance their defense, the Los Angeles Chargers require more production from their edge rushers. Donovan Ezeiruaku, with his explosive play and recent Combine performance, could be the missing piece they need.

23. Green Bay Packers: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

The Green Bay Packers are looking to support Jordan Love, who has emerged as a promising quarterback. Adding Luther Burden III, known for his YAC skills, could provide Love with the reliable target he needs.

24. Kansas City Chiefs (from Minnesota Vikings): Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

The Kansas City Chiefs have been proactive in addressing their offensive line needs, and selecting Josh Simmons could further strengthen their unit. His recovery from knee surgery may affect his draft position, making him a potential value pick.

25. Houston Texans: Grey Zabel, OL, North Dakota State

With the trade of Laremy Tunsil, the Houston Texans need to rebuild their offensive line. Grey Zabel's versatility and strong performances at the Senior Bowl make him a solid choice for Houston.

26. Los Angeles Rams: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

The Los Angeles Rams are looking to prioritize grit and production in their draft picks. Jahdae Barron, a three-time all-conference selection, embodies these traits and could make an immediate impact.

27. Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

The Baltimore Ravens excel on draft day by allowing the board to dictate their choices. Derrick Harmon, while occasionally inconsistent, possesses the physicality to thrive in Baltimore's defensive scheme.

28. Detroit Lions: Mike Green, Edge, Marshall

The Detroit Lions must find a replacement for Aidan Hutchinson, who was sidelined with injury last season. Mike Green offers an exciting combination of physicality and burst, making him an attractive option for the Lions.

29. Washington Commanders: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

The Washington Commanders struggled with safety play last season and should consider Malaki Starks as a potential upgrade. His instincts and playmaking ability would greatly enhance their secondary.

30. Buffalo Bills: Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan

As one of the most talented defensive tackles available, Kenneth Grant could be a significant addition to the Buffalo Bills. His fit within their defensive scheme may provide the girth and power they need up front.

31. Minnesota Vikings (from Kansas City Chiefs): Jihaad Campbell, ILB, Alabama

With limited draft picks, the Minnesota Vikings will likely seek trade-down opportunities. Jihaad Campbell, a superb athlete, adds speed and coverage skills to their defense, making him a valuable pick.

32. Philadelphia Eagles: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

At this point in the draft, Colston Loveland could be considered a steal for the Philadelphia Eagles. With his soft hands and agility, he would complement an already loaded offense perfectly.
