"I’m disappointed in President Putin, very disappointed in him," Trump told reporters. He emphasized the urgency of the situation, saying, "There's no reason in waiting. I want to be generous, but we just don't see any progress being made." Trump further mentioned his frustration, stating, "I'm not so interested in talking anymore," reflecting a growing sense of urgency as U.S. frustration with Russia mounts.
Earlier this month, Trump had set a 50-day deadline for Russia to agree to a ceasefire, threatening to implement severe economic measures, including secondary sanctions against nations conducting business with Moscow. The U.S. and Ukraine have consistently called for a full and immediate ceasefire, which would pave the way for potential peace negotiations. However, Moscow has insisted that talks cannot commence until Ukraine makes substantial concessions, such as demilitarization and a withdrawal from frontline areas.
Ukrainian leaders have welcomed Trump's latest announcement. Medvedev tweeted, "Trump's playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10," warning that each new ultimatum could lead to increased tensions.

Russia's Defense Ministry reported intercepting 74 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Ukraine's air force confirmed that 32 out of 37 Russian drones and two missiles were neutralized. Tragically, a Russian airstrike on a correctional facility in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Oblast resulted in the deaths of at least 17 individuals and injured 42 others.
