The app also includes functionality for unlocking achievements and rolling a daily bonus, which players can store and utilize in-game. Among the potential rewards are useful items such as meals and health boosts, but notably, one of the rewards includes “equipment repairs.” This feature is particularly significant given the item decay mechanic that has sparked debate among fans of both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Item decay has been one of the most contentious features in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. In these games, most weapons deteriorate with use, compelling players to constantly seek out new options. Although Tears of the Kingdom introduced a workaround where players could trick enemies into repairing some items, this method is limited and does not apply to all weapons.
The addition of the repair bonus through the Zelda Notes app could significantly alter the game balance, providing players with a new strategy to manage their weapons. However, it is important to note that the repair bonus is awarded randomly and can only be rolled once every 24 hours, adding an element of chance to the gameplay.

For players not subscribed to this tier, the upgrades can also be purchased separately.
