On Wednesday, the supermodel joyfully commemorated her 18-year-old son Johan's high school graduation. She took to Instagram to share heartwarming footage capturing the moment he received his diploma, which included a sweet kiss on the cheek from her. In her touching post, she expressed her pride, writing, “Cheering you on today and every day ❤️ CONGRATULATIONS JOHAN 🎓🥳🙏❤️ my heart is full of joy and pride ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
In the celebratory photo shared by Klum, the 52-year-old star beamed alongside her son Johan, as well as her eldest child, Henry, who is now 19 years old. Klum shares her children—Johan, Henry, along with daughters Leni, 21, and Lou, 15—with her ex-husband, the renowned musician Seal. The couple divorced in 2014, and since February 2019, Klum has been happily married to Tokio Hotel singer Tom Kaulitz.
While Johan has maintained a relatively private life, his siblings Leni and Henry have decided to follow in their mother’s footsteps and pursue careers in modeling. Klum has previously showered praise on Johan, particularly for his artistic talents. In a 2013 interview with Parents magazine, she revealed that Johan's passion for painting monsters had inspired her Truly Scrumptious children’s clothing collection.
In October, the judge of America’s Got Talent shared exciting news about Johan’s future aspirations. She disclosed that he was considering enrolling at Parsons School of Design in New York City after his graduation. “Johan is very much into the arts and making clothes,” she told People. “So today we toured Parsons.”
Meanwhile, Seal, now 62, spoke candidly to Page Six in February about his son Henry's pursuits in the fashion industry. Henry made his modeling debut at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week this year. However, Seal mentioned that Henry’s true passion lies in music. “That’s difficult because it’s kind of what I do, and I think there’s a part of him that thinks that, you know, ‘I just don’t want to be kind of, you know, doing music because my dad does it,'” he explained. Nonetheless, he affirmed Henry's talent, stating, “And I don’t say that, as, you know, a biased father, which I am, of course, but he has a great voice. And I just really wish that he would have the confidence to do it.”
As for Leni, Seal mentioned that modeling isn't her ultimate career goal either. “She gets that modeling is a segue,” he observed. “It’s a stepping stone to getting what you want out of life. And it’s not necessarily a profession.” Recently, Leni and Heidi posed together in lingerie for another Intimissimi advertisement, despite facing backlash after their first collaboration in October. Critics labeled the mother-daughter duo as “weird” for posing in their underwear together. In response to the negativity, Heidi disabled comments on her Instagram post announcing the second collaboration. Nevertheless, Leni has remained resilient, choosing not to let the criticism affect her.
