Dolly Parton, the beloved country music icon, has announced the postponement of her highly anticipated concert residency in Las Vegas. In a heartfelt statement shared on her social media on Sunday, September 28, Parton revealed that she is undergoing “a few” undisclosed medical procedures to address her health concerns.
The concerts were originally scheduled to take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in early December. However, Parton emphasized that she will not have enough rehearsal time to prepare for the shows. Fans can now mark their calendars for the rescheduled dates in September 2026, specifically on the 17th, 19th, 20th, 23rd, 25th, and 26th.
In her statement, Parton expressed her desire for her fans to hear the news directly from her, stating, “I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts.” She also shared her health challenges, noting that her doctors have advised her to undergo necessary procedures. With a touch of humor, she remarked, “It must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”
Parton further explained her decision by emphasizing her commitment to delivering an unforgettable show. “I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see,” she stated. The concert residency was set to feature a stunning array of her classic hits spanning seven decades, including fan favorites like “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Coat of Many Colors.”
While she will continue to work on various projects from her home in Nashville, Parton reiterated the importance of taking the time to be fully prepared for her performances. “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she added, reassuring fans that she is not stepping away from her career. “God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
The original tickets for the December shows will remain valid for the rescheduled dates in 2026. Fans who are unable to attend the new dates will have the option to request refunds. Parton and the management at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace stated that more detailed instructions regarding tickets will be sent to purchasers via email.
This concert residency marks Parton's first extended engagement in Las Vegas since her performances at the Mirage Hotel in the early 1990s, where she shared the stage with fellow country legend Kenny Rogers.
