The hit limited series “Adolescence” continues to make waves on Netflix, recently achieving a remarkable milestone by securing the ninth spot on the platform's list of most popular English-language series of all time. This impressive feat was accomplished last week, during which “Adolescence” knocked “Bridgerton” Season 2 down the rankings and relegated “Stranger Things” Season 3 to the tenth position. As of now, “Adolescence” has skyrocketed to fourth place, amassing an astonishing 114 million views in just 24 days.
With its current standing, “Adolescence” is only surpassed by three other major titles: “Wednesday” Season 1, which leads with 252.1 million views, “Stranger Things” Season 4 at 140.7 million views, and “Dahmer: Monster” with 115.6 million views. Given its impressive trajectory, the series is poised to potentially eclipse both “Stranger Things” and “Dahmer” in the coming weeks. Netflix evaluates its rankings based on a 91-day viewing window, meaning “Adolescence” still has over two months to accumulate additional views.
In the latest weekly metrics, “Adolescence” achieved a remarkable 17.8 million views during the viewing window from May 31 to April 6, making it the number one TV title of that week, even in its fourth week on Netflix. Following closely behind was “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer”, which debuted at the second position with 12 million views in its first week on the platform. Other notable debuts included “Pulse” with 6.5 million views and “Devil May Cry” with 5.3 million views, both achieving these numbers within just four days.
Rounding out the top five was “The Residence”, which secured 4.6 million views in its third week on the Netflix Top 10. Following it was the third season of “Love on the Spectrum”, which garnered 3.5 million views within five days of its release. “Million Dollar Secret” also made its mark, obtaining 3 million views during its second week on the chart.
As is customary, the weekly “Raw 2025” special made its appearance on the chart, landing in eighth place with 2.9 million views. The final spots in the Top 10 were taken by the debut of “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory”, which attracted 2.5 million views in just four days, and the eighth week of “Ms. Rachel”, which achieved 2.3 million views.
With its impressive performance and trajectory, “Adolescence” is set to capture even more viewers in the coming weeks, solidifying its status as one of Netflix's most talked-about series.
